What is the capacity and setup of the venue space at Remedy?

The venue space at Remedy Lawrenceville is an intimate 65-person capacity DIY space located on the 2nd floor. It comprises two main adjoined rooms with a private bar and bathroom, and a third room with a pool table. The space is filled with art, graffiti, vintage signs, and ambient lighting. It has its own entrance and stairs directly off Butler St for quick load-in/load-out. Parking on Butler Street is permit-free and meter-free, making it easier to find parking compared to other neighborhoods.

What equipment is available at the venue?

The venue provides a small mixer, power amp, two fifteen-inch speakers, two microphones, and microphone stands. If you require monitors, additional microphones, power conditioners, extension cords, house speakers, subwoofers, wireless systems, additional instruments, speakers, or XLR cables, you will need to provide them yourself.

Can I bring additional lighting and decorations for my event?

Yes, you are welcome to bring in additional lighting and decorations. However, setup cannot occur before the day of your show or event.

Is there a fee to use the space, and how are ticket sales handled?

As of January 2025, Remedy does not charge any percentage of ticket sales to use the space and does not provide any guarantees. You will receive 100% of any ticket sales and merchandise that you manage or sell. If the 2nd-floor bar is open during your show, Remedy will manage it and retain all sales from both the 1st and 2nd-floor bars. Remedy does not provide drink tickets or complimentary drink tabs at this time.

What are the standard door and show times?

Unless otherwise specified, the standard door time is 7 pm with an 8 pm show time. All booked shows must conclude by midnight due to the neighborhood sound ordinance. No exceptions.

What are the load-in procedures and parking options?

Street parking is free and usually readily available close to the venue. Upon arrival, inform the bartender that you are here to load in. Someone will guide you upstairs and show you the side door for load-in. Unless specific arrangements are made, this door is to be used only for load-in/load-out and must remain closed at all other times.

Are there age restrictions for shows at Remedy?

All shows are 21+ only. No all-ages shows are permitted. Additionally, per PLCB regulations, all members of your band must be 21+. If any members are under 21, their parent or legal guardian must be on-site during the show. Alternatively, someone over the age of 25 can act as a designated supervisor. At least 3 days before the show, you must submit the names, ages, and contact information of both the underage member(s) and their parent/guardian or designated supervisor.

Can I bring outside beverages or food?

No outside beverages of any kind are permitted. If it is discovered that outside beverages have been brought into the venue, you will be asked to leave without the opportunity for future bookings. Until the kitchen is fully functional, if prior arrangements are made, outside food can be provided during your show. Remedy does not provide catering but can offer recommendations.

Is smoking or vaping allowed inside the venue?

No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed inside the venue.

Who is responsible for ticketing and managing the lineup?

It is your responsibility to manage all ticketing and the lineup for your show. Remedy acts solely as the venue and provides supporting promotion. If you choose to do ticket pre-sales, this can be included as part of the event promotion. You will need someone to manage the door at your show, as Remedy does not provide that service.
